Job Brief:

The VP of Operations is a senior level position working closely with the President to align operations and management with company goals and plans for continued growth by ensuring all areas of operations, finance and staff are prepared, ready and able to scale. Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the daily operations for a fast growing creative company, ensuring compliance with local, state and Federal policies and regulations as well as ensuring compliance with,

and support of ,Company policies, procedures, goals and core values.

  • Developing or assisting management with the development and implementation of policies, workflows and procedures consistent with our business plans, goals, commitments and core values to ensure capacity, efficiency, success and safety in our operations.
  • Overseeing most of the company operations to include Admin, HR, Fulfillment, IT/Systems and/or Production.
  • Responsible for leading management meetings and the development and success of department managers including hiring, training, evaluating performance of your direct reports as well as the peoductivitydepartments productivity by setting clear expectations regarding achievement and tracking of goals, metrics and KPI’s by motivating, encouraging and arming operations with the necessary skills, tools and leadership to succeed and grow.
  • Participation in, and coordination of,  data collection and analysis for company operations including computer, and/or network systems, applications programs, and administrative procedures 
  • Reviewing and interpreting financial and operating information as appropriate; coordinating and developing periodic financial and/or operating analyses; preparing financial/business reports for President; may be asked to participate in the preparation of other contracts, proposals, business docs and reports.
  • Providing recommendations and assistance to the President in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of modifications or additions to existing operations, systems, and procedures.
  • Representing the organization at various community and/or business meetings; promoting existing and new programs and/or policies.
  • Developing annual operating budgets, preparing financial statements and providing monthly summaries, insights and recommendations to the President.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Senior level management experience and expertise in the areas of finance, administration, operations, systems implementation and human resources gained through a minimum of 3 years of equivalent-level work experience.
  • At least 5 years of additional work experience that is relevant to the duties listed in the job description.
  • Knowledge of current business principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operatational procedures.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and financial reporting, procedures and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of personalities and experience.
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, making policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  • Employee development, performance evaluation management skills.
  • Ability to supervise, train and coach employees with varying levels of experience.
  • Ability to make tough decisions, have difficult conversations and understand the value of conflict resolution over conflict avoidance.
  • Experience in the development of process systems and training modules with corresponding exercises and defined benchmarks for success.
  • Ability to develop and prepare comprehensive financial/business/operational analyses.
  • Ability to communicate information effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative, positive and elevated work environment.
