Helena Wurzel


Helena Wurzel is a painter living in Cambridge, MA; she is also an educator, 

wife, and mother. She received an MFA in painting from Boston University in 2007 and has maintained an active studio practice since. She has won Massachusetts Cultural Council Grants in 2010 and 2016 and was featured in New American Paintings Issue #92. She worked with the company Kate Spade Saturday from 2012-2015 making commissioned pieces as an ad campaign for the online promotion of the brand. She has also shown her work at Jonathan Adler retail stores in Miami and Los Angeles. In addition to her studio practice, she teaches high school drawing and painting at the Buckingham Browne & Nichols Upper School in Cambridge.
