Artwork for Eszter Szabó

My topics are the connection between humans and nature, and the environmental awareness inherent in folk traditions. These traditions strengthen the relationship between man and nature, and show how nature was associated with God, the universe & spiritual well-being. Folk traditions also raise a child with the love of life and its creatures. For the individual, knowing and following the traditions means protection, identity consciousness, and harmony within the community. My works on human figures unfold in an illustrative, powerful style in their relationship with the environment and folk tradition. Folk costumes and the style of the 70's & 80's have made a big impression on my art.

I was born in 1979. Following the completion of my studies in decorative painting at art school in 1997, I worked several years in a company as a professional decorative painter, restoring the frescos and walls in the biggest archives in Hungary. I began painting and exhibiting my own work in 2017.

Eszter joined Grand Image in 2025.
