Janet works from her studio in South Cambridgeshire, England as a freelance artist. She supplies semi abstract, impressionist and fine art to publishing companies worldwide. She is the owner and creative designer of the greeting card company 'Janet Gammans Art', supplying her own brand of cards for wholesale and retail companies globally. She has become a much recognized and sought after artist for her subject matter and her distinctive and evocative style of work.
"My inspiration comes from a wealth of resources of my own life experiences, through world travel and my connection with the sea. Much of my work has 'lovingly' evolved from marine and coastal influences through time spent on location studying pattern, form, light and texture. The application of paint reflects my emotional response towards the subject which are conveyed with an impressionistic and semi abstract approach."
