b. 1932, New York City, recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in
2005, Marilyn Henrion is a graduate of Cooper Union and Fordham University. Her works
are included in museum, corporate and private collections worldwide. Henrion is also
represented in the Smithsonian Institution's Archives of American Art. From her early
textile-based works in geometric abstraction to her more recent mixed media works, her
aesthetic has always been deeply rooted in the urban geometry of her surroundings as a lifelong New Yorker. She now incorporates the natural world in that aesthetic after relocating
to Texas in 2022 at the age of ninety.
Marilyn joined Grand Image in 2015.
