Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 1949, he attended Mansfield University completing his B. A. in Education, and the Instituto Allende, San Miguel, Mexico, receiving his Masters of Fine Art Degree in Jewelry and Sculpture.
His artistic career has taken many paths, including Teacher, Designer and Gallery Owner. His paintings, pottery,
sculpture and award winning jewelry are in private and corporate collections across the country.
Bob's work has always been recognized for its composition, new world imagery and sensual textures. Throughout his career, his two dimensional paintings were in acrylic and watercolor wash on textured papers. Over the last decade, the artist has developed an oil wash and acrylic wash technique on textured canvas; allowing
him to create even larger paintings with very special surfaces.
Bob's subjects are extreme. They can be figures, landscapes, floral or geometric, but the transparency of his paint and special attention to the surface texture make his work unique.
