Malcolm Hill is a New York-based artist who specializes in site-specific murals and sculptural mixed-media installations. Born and raised in Texas, he studied drawing and sculpture at the University of Texas and the University of Guadalajara in Mexico. Hill was the contract muralist at Barneys New York for twelve years, creating murals, canvases and sculptures for all its locations in the United States and Japan.
The artist's far-reaching projects have ranged from crating a large mural at the entrance of Nobu in London, to a coral stone and concrete grotto for a client in the Dominican Republic and from the ceiling of a Broadway theatre in New York, to residential murals in Los Angeles.
His studio in the mountains of Montana provides the artist a respite from the face pace of work in New York, and a place to develop his non-commissioned artwork.
