Dana Gibson, an artist, designer, and business owner based in Richmond Virginia, creates vibrant and colorful products for the home. Her work is rooted in centuries-old design and awash in bold colors. Gibson's fanciful world brings together birds and boars, tigers and peacocks, lush lawns and gurgling fountains in harmonious mingling. She comes from a long line of artists and creatives, including American artist Charles Dana Gibson and a niece of Nancy Lancaster. While rooted in the American South, Gibson's work is inspired by far-flung and familiar latitudes, rendering ancient ikats, curvaceous ogees, and intricate fretwork in bold strokes with an American sensibility.
