Cassidy Cole is a contemporary artist based in Santa Monica, California. She was born in Memphis, TN, received her Bachelor of Arts from Belmont University in Nashville, TN, and has since lived in New York City and Los Angeles. She has received additional training from classes at the National Academy of Design and Watkins College of Art and Design. Her first solo exhibition was in 2018 at a prominent art gallery in Downtown Nashville and since then her work has been added to public and private collections around the world.
Cassidy is known for her expressive style and use of intentional layering. Her paintings often feel as if they are in motion, floating onto the surface and pausing for a moment to be seen by the viewer. Her layers reflect the depth and nuances she sees all around her in everyday life. Each stroke and mark is as important as the other to create the final visual movement.
