Artwork for Richard Hall

Richard Hall, born in 1952 in Bradford, Yorkshire, pursued his passion for art at Sheffield College of Art and Kingston-upon-Hull College of Art, earning a BFA in Painting in 1976. After completing his MFA at Sussex University, he relocated to the Southwest United States to focus on painting and sculpture. Inspired by his grandfather, a master craftsman, Hall approaches his art with the same meticulous layering techniques, drawing parallels between building furniture and creating art. His work reflects memories and emotions, manifested through layers of texture and color.

Hall is a versatile artist who works in various media, including serigraphy, monoprinting, etching, sculpture, and painting. His creations range from deeply textured pieces with a sense of antiquity to minimalist and ethereal works, all highly sought after by collectors. Beyond his personal art, Hall has also served as an Art Director, mentoring young artists and finding inspiration for his own evolving work. His art is featured in numerous corporate and public collections, including Christies Contemporary Art, Princess Cruise Ship Lines, and Hyatt Regency, with exhibitions spanning major international art shows.

Richard joined Grand Image in 2006.
