Tennessee raised and Seattle based artist McKinley Smith began pursuing a career in Graphic Design in 2008, enrolling in Middle Tennessee State University before dropping out and switching to a career in metal fabrication for the aerospace industry. It was there he found his true callingóworking with his handsóand quickly began expanding the materials and applications to which he applied those skill sets. This reignited a spark for the arts so he returned to school, graduating in 2017 from the University of Washington in Seattle with a BA in Interdisciplinary Visual with a specialization in Printmaking.
