Sheryn's process is shaped as much by nature, music, and every-day life as it is by academic technique. Her influences are reflected through her use of color, shapes, lines, and texture in her work. She has worked as an artist full-time since 2002, and more recently, completed a study about the influence of nature in Scandinavian art and design. This gave her an appreciation of simplicity and functionalism, leading her to a more minimalist approach in her work.
