Artwork for Eunice Kim

Eunice Kim is an internationally celebrated artist known for her concept and process-driven imagery, innovative technique, and rigorous craft. Employing repetitive dot marks as building blocks of visual language, Kim's work is study in patterns and relationships, and investigation informed by cultural, personal, and formative experiences. Through her own signature collagraph printmaking process utilizing sustainable, nontoxic techniques, the artist creates beautifully tactile compositions that are paradoxically both tranquil and energized. Born in Seoul, Korea and raised by her grandmother, Kim earned her BA from California State University Long Beach and completed post-baccalaureate graduate course work at San Francisco State University. She has been exhibited extensively throughout the United States and abroad, including Austria, Bulgaria, China, Egypt, France, Korea, Poland, Spain, and United Kingdom. Kim's work is found in public, corporate, and private collections worldwide, and is represented by galleries in Los Angeles, Portland, and Seattle. The artist is a recipient of numerous accolades, including 4Culture Individual Artist Projects Grant, Arts Council for Long Beach Individual Artist Grant, Flemish Ministry of Culture Artist Residency Award, Kala Art Institute Fellowship Award, and The Puffin Foundation Artist Grant. Kim lives and maintains her studio in the quiet Cascade foothills of rural Seattle.
Eunice joined Grand Image in 2014.
