Zach Dryz was raised in the arid wastes of Arizona. Having lived a good portion of his life indoors, he spent a lot of time doodling. It didn't take long for him to fall in love with drawing and painting the people around him, trying to capture a little bit of someone's personality to better understand his own. In school, he learned an eclectic variety of styles to give life to his work and the motivation to create got serious. At the earliest possible moment of independence, after graduating from Arizona State University for painting/drawing, he moved to the Northwest and dove into the art scene. He has been swimming ever since.
Zach is a former artist-in-residence at THEStudio at Grand Image.
