Artwork for Marilyn Suriani

Marilyn Suriani’s non-stop thirty-year career has produced world-class images, stunning documentaries and highly coveted fine art. Her images blur the boundaries between painting and photography, creating mood from movement and light, and offering her vision of nature as a vehicle for reflection.

Suriani’s work can be found in the permanent collections of museums, corporate and private collections and in high profile spaces, including two permanent exhibits at Atlanta’s Hartfield-Jackson International Airport.

She has been awarded numerous grants to produce her many photo documentary studies. Some of these images are in the permanent collection of the High Museum of Art. Suriani was also honored as an artist in residence at the L’Ecole Nationale de la Photographie in Arles for her ‘significant contribution to the visual arts’ by the governor of Georgia. She was a faculty member at the Southeastern Center for the Arts and the Senior Photographer for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games where her photos were projected on the jumbo screen and televised worldwide during the opening ceremonies.

Marilyn joined Grand Image in 2011.
