Artwork for Lisa Kesler

Lisa Kesler is a contemporary artist known for her vibrant color palette, stylized forms, and intricate patterns. Her mixed-media works on paper and canvas seamlessly blend printmaking, collage, and painting, often inspired by the rural landscapes surrounding her Illinois home. Drawing from fabric designs, vintage illustrations, and the natural environment, Kesler explores color, surface pattern, and texture in her art, creating geometric shapes and bold compositions that reflect her fascination with repetition, a nod to the patchwork quilts and farmland of her childhood.

After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois in 1982, Kesler lived in Phoenix and Seattle before returning to her family's farm in central Illinois in 2006. Her work is celebrated for its innovative use of materials and techniques, including traditional relief printmaking methods like linoleum and wood block printing. Kesler's art is featured in private and corporate collections across the country, and when not in her studio, she enjoys gardening, cooking, knitting, and spending time with her two sons.

Lisa joined Grand Image in 2010.
