As a native of Bulgaria, Sylvia Victor had the opportunity for extensive classical training in the European tradition; but it was a single early experience that most influenced her. Seeing a drawing demonstration gave her a glimpse of the possibilities of shape, shade and color which started her on her artistic path.
Ms. Victor's paintings reflect this grasp of form and color, vividly expressed in her figure studies and still life work. She paints with great discipline and passion, and draws on creative influences ranging from Japanese woodblock prints to the work of Michelangelo.
Sylvia joined Grand Image in 2008.
