Born in France in 1938, Pierre Stefani developed an early and strong affinity with the impressionist masters. From a young age, he studied their techniques and use of color.
Further studies in Paris honed his skills, as he developed his own technique of combining fine brushstrokes alongside skies painted with a palette knife.
Mr. Stefani is particularly inspired by the views and vista of the north coasts of Normandy, Belgium and the Netherlands. The soft and subtle colors have a luminous quality; the atmosphere shimmers beside the transparent water. His beach scenes have an exquisite and delicate quality, with great universal appeal.
Pierre joined Grand Image in 2008.
