Artwork for Margaret Neill

Margaret Neill was born and raised in Ohio. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Margaret moved to Brooklyn, New York to pursue her Masters of Fine Art at Brooklyn College. Today, the artist continues to live and work New York City where she has a gallery and participates in a numerous solo exhibitions and group shows. Reviewed by Art in America, The New York Sun, and The Brooklyn Rail, Margaret’s most recent group shows have focused on her colorful abstract works that were inspired by everyday life in an urban environment.

“I am interested in the intersections of earth, sea, and sky. I pay special attention to nature when I see it because it offers a balance to the squares and rectangles of life in the city. To me the process of painting is like riding a bike; the eye sees a constantly shifting landscape on a moving ground. It’s a process of exploring perception. For me it’s a life process, an awareness of being, a way of thinking made palpable.” Margaret Neill, 2008

Margaret joined Grand Image in 2008.
