Artwork for Martha Negley

Martha Negley was raised on the East coast. Growing up, she spent her time in New Jersey and Virginia and summered on the Jersey shore.

After graduating from high school, Martha moved to the Midwest to study design at the Kansas City Art Institute. Finishing school with a strong interest in color and pattern design, the artist returned to New York to work in the textile industry where she worked as a colorist before eventually returning to Kansas City. Martha spent many years designing gift wrap and paper party products before becoming a freelance artist.

Today Martha works mainly in gouache. Still very interested in color and pattern, she designs fabric, hatboxes, gifts, gift wrap, posters and paper party products.

She still lives in Kansas City.

Martha joined Grand Image in 2010.
