Artwork for Myung-Sik Kim

Myung-Sik Kim, born in Seoul, Korea in 1949, is a distinguished painter and professor at Dong A. University in Pusan. He earned his BFA in 1974 and MFA in 1981 from Chung Ang University in Seoul. Over the years, Kim has held numerous solo exhibitions across Korea, including Seoul and Pusan, as well as internationally in Madrid, Chiba, and New York. His work has also been featured in various group exhibitions worldwide, from Tokyo and Beijing to Paris and Los Angeles.

Kim's artistry has garnered multiple awards, including the Bronze Prize at the Korea Artist's Association Exhibition in 1977 and the Golden Prize at the Public Exhibition of Gusang Jeon in 1982. His works are part of prestigious collections such as the Seoul City National Museum, LG Digital & Electronic Group, and the Memorial of Korean War Center. Known for his contributions to the art world, Kim continues to inspire through both his paintings and his teaching.
