Artwork for Kate Knight

Kate Knight is a young Scottish designer who produces fine art designs for license. Her vivid and positive style of design has already been recognised by several established publishers, manufacturers and the global retailer IKEA. Kate's artwork can be found on art prints, greetings cards, gift-wrap, stationery, and tabletop products. This young artist loves experimenting with a bright palette and her bold approach to design allows her to produce artwork that is full of exciting and contrasting colours. A good self-starter, Kate is always working on new designs and has sound practical knowledge of what clients require from a freelance designer. She hits her deadlines and completes her briefs accurately. Firmly based in Edinburgh, a city she knows and loves well, Kate is one of a new breed of contemporary, motivated designers that have a real determination to succeed.

Although Kate's first love has always been florals she is now finding that she enjoys producing artwork that covers a wider range of subject matter; for example, images containing cityscapes, people, animals, etc. Her artwork is often produced by painting or drawing onto paper before scanning the imagery into her computer. Alternatively she will use a drawing tablet to draw straight into the computer. This method of working allows her to be more creative. She can combine photographic and hand drawn imagery into a single piece of work.

Kate joined Grand Image in 2012.
