Artwork for Virginia Howlett

Canadian-born artist Virginia Howlett holds a BFA from Ohio State University and an MFA in Painting from the Art Institute of Chicago. She has taught as an Assistant Professor at Hampton University in Virginia and New Mexico Highlands University. Virginia's work has been showcased in exhibitions across Seattle, Chicago, New Mexico, Virginia, and Ohio.

Now based in Seattle, Virginia draws inspiration from the Pacific Northwest landscape, as well as her time spent at a cabin in British Columbia and the Sonoran desert in Arizona. Her work blends North American landscape traditions with modern abstraction, creating meditative glimpses of nature through abstract fields of color.

Virginia joined Grand Image in 2007.
