Born into the glittering sophistication of 1970's Paris, Ashley David's work is a direct product of her environment. Having studied and traveled extensively throughout such fashion Meccas as New York and Milan, it is this experience which has provided a thorough understanding of color, trends, textures and forms unique to her style. Regardless of the subject matter, David's ink renderings are infused with both quiet elegance and modern flair, though it's her gangling figures which capture the essence of couture at its grandest that she is best known for. After years of illustrating for design houses and fashion magazines, David currently resides in Santa Barbara, California, where she works out of her home studio overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
