Mary Margaret Briggs, a Seattle native, draws inspiration from her travels in Asia and the natural beauty of her Vashon Island home. Formerly a textile designer for Nike, she now creates collaged panels using botanical and abstract monotypes. Her unique printing technique involves using real foliage from her garden to produce vivid photographic effects. She incorporates seasonal color palettes into her work and cuts apart and recombines prints to create modern, graphic compositions. Briggs currently works from her studio on her island property.
Mary Margaret joined Grand Image in 2006.
