A Nebraska-born artist, Stephen Dinsmore presents paintings that testify to the vitality of representational art as a means of communicating visual poetry. Many of his paintings have titles of rural areas, but Dinsmore synthesizes his images from several sources. At times, his paintings border on the abstract, while in other instances they seem to convey a specific sense of place. Dinsmore states: "Through painting, I attempt to convey an inward response to nature and a reverence for the natural world. In this respect, my paintings are a synthesis of actual, imagined, remembered and felt responses." Mr. Dinsmore's paintings are in corporate, public and private collections nationally and internationally.
